Dr. Doughty has over 25 years of experience as a petroleum geologist in the Rockies, working in all major basins from Alberta to New Mexico.

He began his career working for Amoco Production company in 1990 as an Exploration Geologist in Wyoming and Oklahoma. He then moved to Exxon’s research department from 1996 to 1999, where he worked both domestically and internationally. From 2000-2008, he was a tenured professor at Eastern Washington University.

Returning to Industry in 2005, he founded PRISEM Geoscience Consulting, and was a key player in Talisman Energy’s US Rockies foothills exploration program as well as several companies successful Rockies exploration programs.
